"What Macedonia and the region needs urgently in order to safeguard its sovereignty, territorial integrity and regional stability?"
At this point in time when UN resolution 1441 is being quoted for the benefit of the US case against Iraq, We the Macedonians shell raise the question of the recent (and still ongoing )Albanian terrorist invasion and crisis in our motherland Republic Macedonia. This operation was obviously staged after (and still is) unfulfilled resolution 1244 regarding Kosovo when its adversaries failed to disarm the terrorist KLA, but instead made it in to "regular" army unit, under UN payroll, that was lather used ( and still is) for destabilizing Macedonia and the entire region. There should be immediate action by all responsible parties involved in the making of this evil- the KLA terrorist organization and its offspring's.
1) That attacks staged out of the UN protectorate of Kosovo be stopped immediately and the responsible parties -- including accomplices -- be punished.
2) The right of Macedonia to defend itself against an aggression and against terrorist attack be assured , according to the international law and resolution 1244. New UN resolution be introduced spelling out every detail including the punishment for all parties in the region that are helping the terrorist and separatist movements (including Albania and Kosovo, a UN and NATO appointed authority).
3) Economic threats and blackmail, of the Macedonian State by Albanian terrorist organizations (all in sink with last years introduced EU definition of terrorism) must be condemned by the EU, UN and other international institutions; further more punishment and prosecution by International Crime Tribunal to be initiated.
4) The ethnic cleansed population must have the guaranteed right to go back to their houses in every village of Macedonia, as well as Kosovo. The same applies for ethnically cleansed Macedonians from Greece, Bulgaria and Albania.
5) A plan of economic reconstruction be started immediately and all pledged amounts paid to Macedonia unconditionally, as promised prior to Kosovo crisis and justly compensate the Macedonian state and its citizen for what they have endured because of the failed 1244 UN resolution.
6) The UN must safeguard the sovereign decision of Macedonia to call for support on who ever the country (Government) consider necessary for its own defense, while the imposed "help" and blackmail demanding actions that will diminish the defense capability of Macedonia to be rejected.
7) A statement must be issued that Macedonia will not become an international or other kind of protectorate. A general denunciation of the policy of imposing protectorates in the Balkans and elsewhere in the world must be denounced, an investigation of the responsible parties must be started immediately and the guilty parties must be punished according to the International Law, Macedonian Law, and UN resolutions.
In other word all the parties really interested in peace and stability in the Balkans have to create a series of legal and political points that could have a legal and criminal binding value.
Let us continue by stating that:
We the members of the Macedonian-American Council representing the Macedonian Diaspora in the USA, consider that the lack of current stability and the situation as it is in Macedonia today, to be collective responsibility of the UN's failed Resolution 1244 and lack of real commitment on the side of the responsible parties.
The action to collect arms voluntarily surrendered by" KLA terrorist" "Essential Harvest" was transparent excuse for military intervention and an illegal and an illegitimate interference in Macedonian internal affairs and an imposition by military force and Political and economic blackmail of de facto and de jure invasion and occupation of Macedonia as a Nation State and a UN member.
After the agenda of destabilizing the region was fulfilled, NATO is moving out-to new destination. The new venue was Afghanistan...now next is Iraq. After all the promises and pledges of financial support and help to compensate the damages incurred to the Macedonian economy by the above actions originating from a UN protectorate of Kosovo, new destabilizing waves for Macedonia are coming from Kosovo and it looks as it is happening by "remote control"- so conveniently.
The bombs again thunder in Macedonian cities and bells again ring for the Macedonian souls and their never ending ethnic cleansing and genocide that again emerges from the clouds of international terrorism and war.
The presence of the NATO mission (officially not finished yet) in Macedonia today and the EU incoming mission are but the alibi to excuse the guilt for the crimes against humanity committed in the name of "so called minority rights of the Ethnic Albanians" who are instead the real predators and who's KLA and other terrorist organizations are still continuing the racist ethnic cleansing and genocide of non Muslim and non Albanian Macedonians and other inhabitants in Macedonia, Kosovo and Serbia.
One should be committed to call the evil by its real name. The purgery of lying to the entire world and staging the show of alleged ethnic cleansing against Albanians in Kosovo is so visible now and nobody with sound mind and clear consciousness can defend the actions of "so called Albanian freedom fighters" from the same kind "of freedom fighters that Osamma Bin Laden and his Al Kaida use to belong to.
This is why the entire freedom loving world is raising its voice against war in Iraq, against what is considered another staged war for murky interests like the one in Yugoslavia and Kosovo that spilled over to the innocent Macedonia and has thereafter destabilized the entire region, and even Europe is still feeling the tremors and the guilt.
In numbers and the nature of its mission, it reminds so much of and is in direct violation and contravention of the UN charter, of the Resolution 1244 of the Security Council of UN and of Geneva and Paris Conference and other international treaties that inform the rules of international behavior of which all of the current NATO members are signatories.
We hold that all the 19 members of NATO, in general and the British and USA governments in particular are directly responsible, politically, diplomatically, militarily, economically and morally for all the havoc their intervention in the Balkans has reeked and for this unprecedented and unparalleled situation of systematic destabilization of Macedonian territorial integrity and for the dismantling of the Constitutional democracy, by way of arming and training Albanian narco mafia terrorists in Albania and Kosovo and deploying them to wage a war in Macedonia and soon elsewhere as well (as we have seen it before).
The evidence of our assertion of the above by now is overwhelming and has come from a variety of international sources and we believe one is familiar with already.
We, the members of the Macedonian-American Council accuse NATO of a gross and unprecedented violation of Macedonia's inalienable right to defend herself against an organized and mercenary army from Kosovo which is currently under direct supervision of NATO, as mandated by resolution 1244. Most recent actions taken by members of NATO in proposing the eventual defense of Turkey in the imminent war in Iraq, makes our agony even worse. The preemptive strikes on countries (or terrorist and other entities) that are treat for the national security of USA, Great Britain and other great powers is advertised as the exclusive right of the few, but omits the universal principles and the right of peoples to self defense and self determination.
The very same NATO-K force that was supposed to "keep the peace in Kosovo," and protect the Macedonian-Yugoslav (Kosovo) border, has blatantly violated its mandate and following the geo-racist policies of people like Samuel P. Huntington, Sbzbignew Brezinski, Henry Kissinger, David Owen, George Robertson, Xavier Solana, etc. have turned Macedonia from a sovereign nation-state and a UN member into a de-facto protectorate and have limited its ability to defend itself against the same forces of evil who's pictures and messages the world is served via the media on e hourly basis.
It is obvious now that NATO's purpose was to redefine its mission and mandate in Macedonia, to create and provoke conditions for an indefinite stay, the sole aim of which was the destruction of Macedonian territorial political sovereignty and integrity and an abolition of its constitutional democracy as a way of further Balkan neo-imperialist conquest.
The recent invitation for Bulgaria to join NATO, was yet another Oxymoron shoveled down our throats. Here is why?
Yugoslavia was not only bombarded for the alleged deprivation of minority rights of the local Kosovo ethnic Albanians, but it was completely dismantled and erased from the map of the World in the geo-strategic game of power. Macedonia was forced to change its constitution in a form and fashion that reminded so much of Cuba from 1901, all in the name of the alleged lock of minority rights for the Ethnic Albanians, as if they were not "positively discriminated enough" even made favorites over the Ethnic Macedonians and other minorities that suppose to be equal under the Constitution of Macedonia. Not to mention the existence of "Affirmative Action laws". The obvious spill over from Kosovo of the terrorist invasion by the same "actors" of Albanian terrorists was used as excuse to force the change of the constitution that literally stills Macedonia as only country in the World for the Macedonians.
All of that in times where the divided Macedonian ethnic body since 1912 was subject of ethnic cleansing and genocide in all the surrounding neighbors (predominantly Greece occupying 51% of Macedonia since 1913, Bulgaria and Albania). No minority rights are given to Macedonians, and their very existence is denied by Greece and Bulgaria, in clear violation with all international norms of behavior called upon in the case with Yugoslavia(Kosovo),Macedonia(Western parts of the country. Ethnic cleansing is being "encouraged" by lack of action by the "International community" even in the very country of Macedonia and "the shameful Framework Agreement of Ohrid " even enforces the actions of the Ethnic Cleansers -the Ethnic Albanians terrorist KLA and other collective associates!
After all the talk about the minority rights as the justification of the actions to date in Yugoslavia, Macedonia... the Oxymoron of admitting Bulgaria to NATO in addition to Greece already member of NATO gives suggestion that if a country is member of NATO -it does not to respond to international norms of behavior and will unpunished continue the policy of Ethnic Cleansing and Genocide over its own minorities (e.g. Spain and the rest of the crowd with the same minority issues at stake).
We the members of the Macedonian-American council do call upon the conscience and the sense of justice of all the members of the General Assembly of the United Nations as well as the United Nations Security Council to let them know that a member state, Macedonia, a small but proud and innocent country has been invaded and occupied by member states of the United Nations under the guide of NATO. The tolerance of terrorist activities and even deployment of the same from Albania in to Macedonia with simultaneous subversive activity with the local Ethnic Albanian in Macedonia while disregarding the Macedonians in Albania calls for deserved attention.
We find this situation intolerable, immoral and downright dangerous for the rule of the law and the international order and code of behavior and we call upon all member states of the United Nations to take quick and appropriate action and help us return Macedonia to its prior status of a peaceful and democratic nation-state who wants to decide her own destiny according to her law, constitution and the will of her people.
The terror over the Macedonians, the ethnic cleansing of Macedonians, the genocide and the destruction of the evidence of there very existence on the ancestral land continues to be not only unpunished to this day in the Western parts of Macedonia (and wider), but even not being acknowledged and condemned by the same world authorities concerned for their countries safety after originally creating the crisis in the region them selves. Complete SENSUS of the Ethnic Macedonians worldwide that will show the real picture of the ethnic cleansing and genocide they have suffered in the respective parts of Macedonia (under Greek, Bulgarian, Albanian, Yugoslavian-Kosovo control)should be generously supported if not even sponsored by UN and EU.
Instead of NATO mission, or EU army forces, UN Inspection teams like OSCE should be sent to Albania, Kosovo and Macedonia and their number increased from the current to once more verify who is the bad guy there. To verify the Ethnic Albanian plight and conspiracy for creating Greater Albania as wider safe heaven for terrorist of the Al Kaida type in addition to its current training camps and bases for the same, that have present and long term goal to destabilize the Balkans indefinitely; to hold not only Macedonia and the region hostage, but to hold Europe and the rest of the World hostage.
Ultimately to stop amnesty for terrorists and to "lift" the invisible ban" for punishing the terrorists in the same way they are punished in Afghanistan, Israel, Iraq... for the sake of comparison.
After establishing the facts- economic and military sanctions should be imposed on Albania and the Kosovo Ethnic Albanians should be given ultimatum of the same kind that was given to Yugoslavia, and Macedonia therefore bringing the action to the venue where it should have been from the very beginning.
Framework agreement like the one from Ohrid is precisely applicable in the Serbian province of Kosovo, but was instead introduced in Macedonia. Lets bring some peace to the region and the World after all.
